Calhoun Scholarship Launches New Website
The Patrick Calhoun Leadership Scholarship program has launched a new website to promote the scholarship across the state.
The program sends Arkansas College Republicans to Washington D.C. every July to participate in the Leadership Institute’s Youth Leadership School.
In its inaugural year of 2009, four scholars graduated from YLS: Carter Ford, Caleb Lites, Nicholas Horton & Richard Caster (pictured left to right).
Skot Covert & Grant Hodges were the 2010 scholars.
Patrick Calhoun, Jr. of Little Rock founded the scholarship in honor of his late father, Patrick Calhoun, Sr., a World War II combat veteran who “laid the foundation for the modern Republican Party of Arkansas.” His life was “defined by duty, honor, and courage”
