This morning on his Facebook profile, Bill Haynie announced his intentions to seek the seat of White County Judge in next year’s election, should his health continue to improve:
After praying about it for months and putting a lot of thought into it I have decided to run for White County Judge in 2012 if my health continues to improve. I don’t want to let the people down by going in office with a health issue and not being able to do the job that the people put me in to office to do.
Haynie has told me that he intends to run as a Republican, which would pit him in a May primary against current judge Mike Lincoln.
Lincoln is currently in his third term.
Haynie’s background includes law enforcement service, as well as several years on the White County 911 Board. He is the owner of Haynie Utility Construction in Searcy.
